Overview of the role: We are looking for a driven, responsible FEMALE candidate who will work with Sitare Foundation. This Job will primarily entail supporting and overseeing Sitare Foundation students * About us: Sitare Foundation is a not for profit organisation focusing on children’s education. We run our program in Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal and Indore) and Rajasthan (Jodhpur, Jaipur and Ajmer). Our Sitare students will be collaborating in person in Gurgaon with our sister organisation Athena Education, a premium study abroad college counseling institute with a proven track record of high school student admissions to Bachelors programs in top universities across the globe, as part of their applications to study abroad. * * This role will entail staying with the students for the duration of the internship, overseeing them and supporting them through this period. This is a very high ownership and responsible role. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing a Masters/PhD remotely and are looking to make an impact. This role will also give you the chance to interact with our driven and wonderful team of colleagues working in education, study abroad college counseling, ed-tech as well as fin-tech. It will also give you the chance to get a lot of business gyaan, and well as knowledge of study abroad options. * * Key skills: – Warm and empathetic personality with the ability to listen and connect to children – Fair and consistent outlook – Firm attitude with the ability to balance students demands delicately – Excellent communication skills – A high degree of flexibility in attitude – Understanding of the need for confidentiality and discretion – Extremely high degree of ownership and responsibility * * Key Responsibilities You will be staying with the students for the entire duration of the job and be responsible for overseeing them outside the hours they will be spending at the Foundation’s premises. – Stay with the students at the accommodation that has been provided to them for the duration of the internship – Accompany the students to the Foundation premises and back, and any other place where they may go – Responsible for them in the hours away from the Foundation’s premises – Ensure discipline and adherence to guidelines once the students are back to the accommodation premises – Create an environment of ‘home away from home’ so that the students feel happy, safe, supported and comfortable and thrive in the new environment – Provide a listening ear and support them to mitigate any potential challenging and personal issues – Inform the management team immediately of any challenges/problems that may crop up – Provide additional support as may be needed by the Foundation from time to time * * Education and Experience: – Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
