FOR THE POST OF PROFESSOR

Essential :
A Ph.D. Degree with First Class Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law

A Minimum of 15 years of experience in teaching/research and / or industry at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent grade, excluding period spent on obtaining the research leading to Ph.D degree/academic administration in a University or/and in any of its affiliated College or/and Research Institute or research Centre, wholly or in parts.

AND

Minimum 10 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals

AND

Minimum Research Score of 120

AND

Successfully guided at least 2 doctoral candidates.

OR

In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential:

First Class Master’s Degree in Law.

Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. Degree in Law and industrial/professional experience of fifteen years managerial experience, out of which at least eight years at senior level or in a position equivalent to the level of Associate Professor/Reader.

Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed Journals. Published work may include books, Research Periodical, Ph.D. guidance, Consultancy projects, and patent filed.

FOR THE POST OF ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Essential :
A Ph.D. Degree with First Class Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law

A Minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching/research and / or industry at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent grade, excluding period spent on obtaining the research leading to Ph.D degree/academic administration in a University or/and in any of its affiliated College or/and Research Institute or research Centre, wholly or in parts.

AND

Minimum 7 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals

AND

Minimum Research Score of 75

OR

In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential:

First Class Master’s Degree in Law.

Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. Degree in Law and industrial / professional experience of eight years in a position equivalent to the level of Assistant Professor.

Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed Journals. Published work may include books, Research Periodical, Ph.D. guidance, Consultancy projects, and patent filed.

FOR THE POST OF ASsistant PROFESSOR

Essential:
a) Master’s Degree in a related discipline with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade or Cumalative Grade Point Average in a defined scale, with good academic record. Provided that LL.M course with one year duration introduced by the UGC and are allowed to be one of the minimum essential qualification for Assistant Professorship as at present, shall not be considered as one of the essential qualification unless supported by and supplemented with M.Phil degree.

The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or SLET/SET accredited by UGC.

OR

Desirable

a) Ph.D. preferred with 2 years of experience.

b) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.

c) Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed Journals. Published work may include books, Research Periodical, Ph.D. guidance, Consultancy projects, and patent filed.
