Key responsibility areas:

A faculty member is expected to undertake responsibilities in:

1. Curricular development

2. Teaching and managing courses

3. Assessing learning units and mentoring /evaluating students and/ or student projects

4. Facilitate industry engagements through collaborative projects, Jury assessments, seminars, events and guest lectures

5. Conduct research, secure grants in areas of personal domain as well as those in the School’s purview

Experience required:

Software skills

Fusion 360, Rhino3d, illustrator, photoshop

Eligibility Norms for various positions:

Professor

Minimum Eligibility Criteria- Academics

First Class Bachelor’s Degree in BFA /B. Des/Engineering/Architecture; and Master’s Degree in Design

OR

Bachelors’ Degree in Architecture; and First class Master’s Degree in Design.

OR

First Class Bachelor’s Degree in BFA /B. Des; and Ph. D in Design/Design Allied areas.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria –Experience:

13 years teaching experience out of which 5 years of Teaching experience as Associate Professor. (Relaxation of up to 3 years in teaching experience may be given to candidates having Ph. D or equivalent).

OR

If the candidates have 15 years of Professional experience in Practice/Research

(Relaxation of up to 5 years teaching experience as visiting faculty may be given)

Associate Professor:

Minimum Eligibility Criteria- Academics:

First Class Bachelor’s Degree in BFA /B. Des/Engineering/Architecture; and Master’s Degree in Design

OR

Bachelors’ Degree in BFA /B. Des; and First Class Master’s Degree

OR

First Class Bachelor’s Degree in BFA /B. Des; and Ph. D in Design/Design Allied areas.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria –Experience:

8 years of experience, out of which minimum 3 years teaching experience as Full Time Faculty or 5 years teaching experience as visiting faculty

OR

B.Des. or equivalent with 15 years of experience in relevant industry or Academia.

OR

If the candidates are Design Practitioners/service, then 10 years of experience in Practice/Research/service

Assistant Professor:

Minimum Eligibility Criteria- Academics

First Class Bachelor’s Degree in BFA /B. Des/Engineering/Architecture:

OR

Bachelors’ Degree in BFA /B. Des; and First Class Master’s Degree in Design desirable

Minimum Eligibility Criteria –Experience:

One year Teaching Experience

OR

B.Des. or equivalent with 10 years of experience in relevant industry or Academia.

OR

If the candidates are Design Practitioners/service then 1 year of Teaching experience as Visiting Faculty, along with 3-5 years of experience in Practice. (Relaxation of up to 2 years teaching experience as visiting faculty may be given)
