Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
To be responsible for the safety and well being of the students in the school.
Manage effective communication with parents and guardians.
Uphold and promote the culture, mission statement and core values of the school.
To be sensitive to individual needs of each child.
Develop schedules and routines to ensure that children have enough physical activity, rest and play time.
Keep records of children’s progress and interests.
Bring to the notice of the Principal any illness, long leave or trauma of any child or child’s family and provide as much support to the child/family as possible.
Age: 25 to 35 years
Experience: 2 to 8 years. Preference to be given for the candidates who have earlier worked as a Day care Teacher in a Pre-school or Day care of repute.
Qualification: Graduate or Post Graduate. NTT/ NPTT
Key Skills:
Communication skills to talk with parents and colleagues about the progress of the children in their care.
Decision-making skills. Good judgment is necessary for daycare teachers, so they can respond to emergencies or difficult situations.
Instructional skills to be able to explain things in terms young children can understand.
Interpersonal skills to work well with people to develop good relationships with parents, children, and colleagues.
Patience to be able to respond to overwhelming and difficult situations calmly.
Physical stamina. Working with children can be physically taxing, so daycare teachers should have a lot of energy.
