JOB DESCRIPTION:

School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, is looking for candidates at the Associate Professor level for the MA in Rural Management (RM) program. The candidates will teach in the program and will also be expected to undertake research in their respective field as well as provide academic leadership to the program. The selected candidates will be called upon to contribute towards building the RM curriculum and draw upon their research experience to train students in field/laboratory methods.

Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

Ph.D. degree (those who have submitted and are awaiting award, or those near submission may also apply), and a minimum 15 years of teaching and consultancy experience and or field experience as specified below: desirable: should have worked in the area of rural livelihoods, skill-set enterprises, ethnographic research and design thinking, oral and folk traditions), developmental issues, water, agriculture, pastoralism, oral and folk narrative studies and other relevant areas.
Candidate should have relevant research paper publications in a refereed journal or in edited volumes. Acceptance for publication at the time of application will be considered.
Candidate should have made presentations in conference and seminars.
