We seek outstanding candidates for the position of Assistant Professor in Creative Media Practice at the Department of Art, Media and Performance, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence (SNIoE) NCR.
Our aim is to bring together individuals with diverse perspectives and experiences to contribute to a dynamic global learning environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing practice oriented courses in their area of expertise, which may include film, video, sound, transmedia, new media, and media art. Additionally, they may have the opportunity to teach courses in critical histories/theories of contemporary media.
Applicants must hold an MA/MFA/MVA or a similar postgraduate degree in visual art, design, film or media. PhD is not mandatory but would be advantageous.
We would value candidates with a strong research orientation to their practice which would align with our commitment to interdisciplinary research at the department.
A strong proficiency in all digital, still and video cameras, editing software and sound recording equipment is essential for this position. It is imperative that the candidate have a visible track record in screening/exhibiting work consistently and preferably have the experience in designing and teaching courses at UG and PG levels within their specific fields of research.
