To carry out the professional duties of a teacher, teaching all areas of the primary curriculum ,as circumstances may require and in accordance with the schoolspolicies under the direction of the Management.

To take responsibility for teaching aclass or small groups, adhering to the teacher standards, ensuringeach pupil makes the best possible progress in theirlearning;

To take key responsibility for the well- being andsafety of the students in the class, and for ensuring goodstandards of behavior;

To work closely with teachers and leaders across theschool to co-ordinate and promote children s co-curricularactivities and to organize and deliver events in a timely andorganized way.

To maintain a tidy, well- managed and attractivelearning environment, in which learning resources are clearlydisplayed and available to all;

To take responsibility for your ownprofessional development, seeking opportunities to reflect upon andimp0rove your practice in line with the school s and your ownpriorities;

To contribute to the school s wider effectivenessincluding running at least one extra- curricular club peryear;

Be prepared, when appropriate, to take a leadershiprole within the school. This may include being part of a corecurriculum team.
