Job Description: Nursery Teacher (Preschool)
Overview: We are seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Nursery Female Teacher to join our preschool team at KINDORI a pre-primary wing of Shanti Asiatic School. This role involves providing a stimulating and safe learning environment for young children (ages 3-4) to promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Responsibilities
Classroom Management:
- Create a welcoming and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum based on the preschool’s educational philosophy.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where each child feels valued and respected.
Instruction And Engagement
- Deliver engaging lessons and interactive activities that promote learning through play, songs, stories, and hands-on experiences.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Encourage language development, social skills, and independence through structured and unstructured play.
Child Development And Assessment
- Observe and assess children’s progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Maintain accurate records of individual student assessments and communicate progress to parents/guardians.
Collaboration And Communication
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate classroom activities and events.
- Establish and maintain open communication with parents/guardians through regular updates, meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.
Safety And Well-being
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by implementing health and safety protocols.
- Supervise indoor and outdoor activities to maintain a secure environment.
Qualifications: –
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Montessori or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Experience
- Proven experience working with preschool-aged children in a similar role.
- Familiarity with early childhood development theories and practices.
Skills
- Passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a warm and supportive learning environment.
