DEPUTY / ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER – ASSESSMENTS AND CURRICULUM SUPPORT
Job responsibilities:
- Lead a team comprising Deputy / Assistant Managers who serve as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for different subjects
- Emphasise on competency-based assessments and create multiple assessment papers in line with guidelines provided for benchmark assessments as in National Education Policy 2020
- Lead the development of high quality term papers (two periodic assessments, one half yearly and one year-end) for all subjects across grades (K-12) as per syllabus break-up and board guidelines
- Train and support internal team towards delivering the assessment papers as per agreed schedule
- Work with AVP – Academics in developing JLearn – an online training platform
- Work with AVP – Academics in new initiatives including but not limited to curriculum mapping, redefining integrating learning, creation of holistic report cards.
- Work with AVP – Academics and AGM – Training in guiding teachers to effective pedagogy in classroom which directly impacts performance in examinations
- Strategise a plan to develop a program for competitive exams like NTSE, IITJEE, NEET, and CUET
- Create a curriculum support model for remedial teaching, gap identification (between years), and hostel guidance
- Work with Senior Manager – Data Analysis to understand the assessment trends and take corrective action as applicable
- Plan holiday homeworks (summer and winter), create parent booklets, map syllabus and do content break-up
- Create annual plan for all interventions related to assessments and pedagogical support
- Oversee the development of teachers in classroom transactions from annual teacher audit findings
- Envision the development of a Professional Learning Community (PLC) within JLearn platform
- Liaise with external organisations dealing with curriculum and assessments as per requirement
- Planning and implementing events and activities including but not limited to Board focus, SIDDHI, JLP, Insignia, Upskill
Requirements:
- Strategic thinker who is able to envisage new solutions, address work challenges and resolve conflicts.
- Desirable to have a master’s degree in education, assessments, or any other related subject.
- Mix of language proficiency (verbal and written), deep pedagogical understanding, assessment specialization and business acumen.
- 10+ years of work experience; of which at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Desirable to have experience in Assessment development.
- Ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders such as school promoters, school principals, training partners, external auditors, recruitment agencies, and other solution providers.
- Organised and process-driven, and ability to work across timelines and cross-functional teams.
- Team / Stakeholder management and interpersonal skills to lead, inspire collaboration and empower the team.
- Have strong project management skills.
