Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior German Language Trainer role based at the Vidacta India campus in Thrissur. The Senior German Language Trainer will deliver high-quality German language instruction across levels A1 to B2, using learner-centered teaching methods aligned with institutional standards. Responsibilities include designing and updating lesson plans, preparing course materials, conducting classroom and language lab sessions, and assessing learner progress through tests, assignments, and mock exams. The role involves mentoring and guiding students on exam strategies, language proficiency goals, and integration into German academic and work environments. The trainer will collaborate with academic coordinators and other trainers to refine curricula, participate in workshops, support exam administration, and contribute to an engaging, inclusive learning environment. Qualifications
Strong German Language Teaching and general Language Teaching skills, with demonstrated experience in teaching adults or young adults.
Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum design, with the ability to adapt content for different proficiency levels (A1–B2).
Solid background in Teaching and Education, including familiarity with communicative and interactive teaching methodologies.
Interest or experience in Literature and German cultural studies to enrich classroom discussions and learning materials.
Advanced proficiency in German (preferably C1 level or higher) with clear, accurate pronunciation and strong grammar command.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in German, Languages, Education, or a related field; relevant teaching certifications are an advantage.
Experience preparing learners for standardized German language exams (e.g., Goethe, TELC, ÖSD) is highly desirable.
Excellent classroom management, communication, and mentoring skills, with a learner-focused, inclusive approach.
Ability to work on-site in Thrissur, collaborate within a multicultural academic team, and use digital tools to support teaching and assessments.
