The role
The E-Learning Content Creator at Sedex will focus on designing, creating, and delivering accessible, exciting, and impactful learning in the field of Responsible Sourcing. Your content will be supporting social and environmental sustainability outcomes, with diverse audiences found – for example – on the factory floor in Vietnam, procurement teams in Brazil, and Sedex colleagues in Australia. You are excited to push the technological boundaries in the field of learning development and are confident to carry out the full learning development cycle, for output in digital and eLearning environments.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and project teams to analyse learning needs and develop appropriate instructional strategies.
- Design and develop engaging, interactive, and effective e-learning courses and instructional materials using various authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software.
- Create visually appealing, multimedia-rich content, including animations, videos, graphics, and interactive elements, to support learning objectives and enhance learner engagement. (SCORM format).
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and testing of e-learning materials to ensure accuracy, functionality, and adherence to design standards.
- Support with Administering and maintain learning management system (LMS) content, including uploading, updating, and troubleshooting course materials.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of e-learning courses and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Efficient at creating e-Learning SCORM content using an authoring tool (i.e., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate).
- Efficient at creating guidance videos using a video editing tool (i.e., Premier Pro).
- Previous experience in working in a busy growing organisation would be beneficial but not crucial.
- Comfortable with working unsupervised (once they know what needs to be done).
- Familiar with incorporating a L&D framework (i.e., ADDIE) when working on a project.
- Work with a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to collate information about the learning needs and objectives of the project.
- Good attention to detail when creating and reviewing work.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong understanding of learning theories, instructional design models, and adult learning principles.
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
