Baduku – Centre For Livelihoods Learning

Samvada, established in 1992, has been sensitizing, supporting, empowering and mobilizing young people towards building a just, inclusive and sustainable society. Through a collective of 5 Youth Resource Centres across Karnataka, youth leaders are nurtured by Samvada. Baduku-Centre For Livelihoods Learning, established in 2007, equips disadvantaged young people to enter and influence critical professions that can promote gender equity, pluralism, sustainability, wellness and social justice.

Role: To council, guide and support Samvada -Baduku youth who are experiencing personal difficulties, confusions about their education, carrier and relationships. To help them find their own ways to cope or to resolve and to make appropriate changes to their lives and overcome their problems.

Qualification: A post graduation in Psychology or Social sciences with relevant certifications. With matured attitude and experience of 2 to 3 years in the field.

Language Requirement: Fluency in Kannada and English

Age: 28-35 years

Skills and knowledge required:

1. To work with individuals and youth groups.

2. To build a relationship of trust and respect with the Youth who will be your clients.

3. Unless there is an emergency situation, keep the records of the clients confidentially.

4. To listen to the young people’s concerns, empathizing with them and helping them to see things more clearly with sensitivity and understanding youth hood challenges.

5. Taking session online and offline as and when required, and able to travel across Bangalore/Youth resource centers

Fee for the services provided: Rs.20,000/- per month

Duration: 3 days a week for 3-Years
