Invites Applications for the Post of Faculty Member-Mass Media Course at Baduku Center for Livelihoods Learning
Course Faculty at Baduku are responsible for anchoring one thematic area/ one profession focused interventions of Baduku. This includes designing, planning and conducting courses for new entrants, supporting and enabling them to sustain in the profession, designing and implementing alumni engagement and working with those already in the profession for their capacity building and sensitisation.
Reporting to: Baduku Director
Responsibilities:
- Assist to initiate the feasibility studies when required, in collaboration with external resource persons
- Assist in developing course material, leading the implementation of the course, teaching sections of the course – as per Baduku’s curriculum guidelines with clear learning outcomes using a mix of learning tools/resources
- Creating and evaluating students’ assignments and monitoring the progress
- Assist to prepare the course budget and approving expenses for the course
- Maintaining records related to the course, students and alumni
- Mentoring and handholding youth
Supporting resource persons:
- Assisting in identifying and selecting relevant resource persons
- Assisting in facilitating and guiding resource persons in developing and delivering their course module
Student enrolment & internships:
- Conducting outreach activities to enrol students that are relevant to the course
- Assist in selecting participants for the course
- Inducting, guiding and mentoring selected students
- Coordinating internships and placement of students
- Startup and incubation support
- Professional and personal mentoring
- Alumni engagements: Organizing workshops, webinars and other opportunities for continued learning
- Assist in engaging with professional networks related to the course to create opportunities for internships, placements, placements, knowledge building, and overall promotion of Baduku-Centre for Livelihoods Learning
Qualification: Post Graduation in Mass Communication or Post Graduation in English
Language Requirements: Kannada, English (Both Written and Spoken)
Experience: 5 years in Teaching media OR working in media
CTC: Rs.45000

- Ability to work with youth in a friendly and non-directive manner through mentoring, training and dialogue
- Theatre, music, art and other skills will be an added advantage
