Job description

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Overseas Education Counselor to provide expert advice and guidance to students seeking to study abroad. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of international education systems, and experience in student counseling and admission processes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one counseling to students and families on study abroad opportunities, including admission requirements, program options, and visa processes
• Develop and maintain relationships with universities and colleges abroad, as well as with local and international education agencies
• Assist students with the application process, including document preparation, essays, and interviews
• Keep up-to-date with changes in immigration laws and education policies, and advise students accordingly
• Participate in education fairs, workshops, and seminars to promote the institution’s study abroad programs
• Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress, admission, and placement rates
• Collaborate with academic advisors, faculty, and other departments to provide comprehensive support to students

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, international relations, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in education counseling, preferably in the study abroad sector
• Strong knowledge of international education systems, admission requirements, and visa processes
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
