Position Description

Position Title: School Engagement Officer

JOB PURPOSE

RMIT University is a global university of design, enterprise and technology.

RMIT University’s Global Student Recruitment has the responsibility for implementing and driving many of the University’s strategic international directions and is a major contributor to the income generated annually from international student fees.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

We are seeking someone enthusiastic about working alongside young people, and with a passion for education to contribute to the University’s School Engagement initiative in India and the subcontinent.

The purpose of this position is to support the development, delivery and facilitation of all aspects of the Schools Engagement, including school visits, summer school program, webinars, education fairs and interactive workshops, both virtually and face to face.

All responsibilities require close collaboration with the Regional Manager (India and

Subcontinent), Country Head (Schools Engagement), University Academics and Staff, High

School Staff, Students and Business Partners.

SELECTION CRITERIA

– Relevant tertiary qualification with experience in international education

– Understanding of how schools operate across primary and secondary levels

– Strong public presentation skills, oral and written English language communication skills

– Ability to maintain effective relationships internally and externally, and with people from diverse backgrounds

– Able to work effectively as part of a team as well as autonomously

– Well-developed organisational skills including the ability to plan workload, priorities and meet deadlines

– Excellent computer skills including word processing, spread sheets, and databases using

MS office software.

– Ability to undertake regular travel India and other nominated markets as required, including working on weekends and after hours.

The successful applicant will be based in South Asia Hub in India and will be expected to regularly travel within India and occasionally across subcontinent.

1. Monitor undergraduate applications, offers to enrolment with a robust conversion strategy in nominated markets

2. Maximise brand awareness in key markets

3. Manage key stakeholder relationships

REPORTING LINES

The School Engagement Officer reports to the Country Head (School Engagement) in South

Asia Hub. In their absence, the relevant information should be communicated to the Regional

Manager (India and Subcontinent)

There will be regular meetings held via MS TEAMS to provide information to the Regional

Manager and Country Head (School Engagement)

This is a Work from Office position, based out of RMIT’s South Asia Hub located in Saket,

New Delhi

All staff appointments at South Asia Hub of RMIT are on contractual basis. The standard appointment is for 2 years, extendable every 2 years based on job performance.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹45,000.00 – ₹52,000.00 per month
