Rising Star Outreach of India (RSOI) was started on 2004 to work for the upliftment of Persons Affected by Leprosy. RSOI works with Leprosy colonies and CBRs situated in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Orissa and Bihar.

RSOI provides 3 major activities for the People Affected by Leprosy, they are 1. Education, 2. Medical support and 3. Colony Development Activities.

Female Hostel Warden Profile:

To monitor the students under their dormitory and maintain their education and well-being. Most of the students are from the leprosy background who are the most marginalised community in our society. The person who is appointed as the Residential Teacher cum Dormitory Supervisor will be the mentor, Guide and care taker for the student.

Job Duties and Responsibilities for Female Hostel Warden

(a) To give parental care to the children in their house.

(b) To guide and motivate the students to achieve great heights. More moral stories should be thought to the students.

(c) To assist students in developing their subject knowledge and also general knowledge.

(d) Responsible for children’s day to day activities such as Study, Play, Health, Food, Bath, Washing Cloths, and other basic activities

(e) Responsible for coordinating with the medical team to check the health of children. The regular health check-up for the children should be done and report should be maintained.

(f) Individual student report about Health, Education and extra-curricular activities should be maintained. Coordinating the house activities with Hostel Manager

(g) No Favoritism among Children or Staffs shall be entertained.

(h) Control the students from misbehaving or fighting among them.

(i) Coordinate with Student Counsellor and Teachers to develop the self-confidence of the students.

(j) Want to teach the spoken English to all the children and maintain the dormitory as English-speaking zone.

Required Skills:

Education Qualification – Any Bachelors or Master’s degree

Willing to work with children from 1st standard to 12th standard

Good communication skill (mandatory)

Salary: ₹20,000.00 – ₹25,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Fresher’s or Candidates with experience in Hostel operation with good communication skill

Language:

• English
• Hindi known is an added advantage
