JRF Position in Chemistry/Physics//Material Science

Applications are invited for the Junior Research Fellow position for the SERB-CRG project entitled “Iron Doped Cobalt-Nickel Layered Double Hydroxides as Highly Efficient Hydrogen Evolution Catalysts: A Quest of Iron Effect ” at the Dept. of Chemistry, School of Applied Sciences, REVA University, Bangalore, Karnataka, under the guidance of Prof. D H Nagaraju.

The objective of this project is to synthesize various metal chalcogenides containing iron for water splitting (OER/HER).

Qualification and Experience:
1. M. Sc. in Chemistry/Physics/Material science. Candidate should have obtained at least 60% marks in qualifying degree examination.
2. Preference will be given to CSIR-UGC NET (JRF/LS) or GATE qualified candidate.
3. Candidate having experience on nanomaterial synthesis and electrochemistry will be given preference.

Stipend: The JRF will be paid stipend as per norms and qualifications. The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current rules for Ph.D. degree students.

Duration: Initial appointment for one year, extendable up to 03 years based on performance. The objective of the 03 years position should be aimed at obtaining a Doctoral Degree (Ph. D.)at the REVA University, Bangalore, Karnataka with peer reviewed publications and granting of the patents.
