THIS ROLE IS LOCATED IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA.
The School of Chemistry teaches more than 2000 undergraduate students each year from many different faculties and offers four different undergraduate programs leading to majors in chemistry that are taught in five teaching laboratories specialising in First Year, Synthetic, Analytical and Physical Chemistry.
The Research Associate (Level A) is expected to contribute to the Smart Materials and Surfaces research group in the School of Chemistry at UNSW and to be part of a larger multidisciplinary team.
This position is funded through Australian Research Council Grants focussing on sustainable electrochemistry to produce organic molecules from simple low cost species or waste products. The Research Associate will perform fundamental electrochemical research on developing electrodes that can provide insights into the active sites and environmental conditions where product selectivity is achieved.
