Description

The Application Chef is responsible for the execution of local product- and application trainings. The focus is on a good knowledge of market trends in the foodservice industry and culinary, but especially the application of kitchen technology in general and the RATIONAL products in particular. The Application Chef can support the National Corporate Chef in the implementation of quality assurance measures such as audits and training. The Application Chef is thus the expert in the market for all topics relating to applications, accessories, use and direct customer support. This position works as a team player with strong collaboration with the National Corporate Chef, Regional Sales Managers, Freelancers and Marketing.

We are currently hiring an Application Chef in Bangalore to support our South India requirement.

Main Responsibilities

Conduct product demonstrations and application trainings for customers, partners and employees Support sales in developing a long-term partnership with customers by consulting them in the optimization of kitchen processes and maximize their benefits Support customers with kitchen process optimization in cooperation with the street sales team Work at customer site to support trainings like start-up of new applications and recipes Development of local recipes for ConnectedCooking Attend relevant industry exhibitions and execute live cooking and product demonstrations Tender support on product and application queries for all pre-sales/after-sales activities Consolidate local application requirements and develop new country/cultural culinary application concepts Internal Audits of demonstration and training sessions Local key account support Networking within local chefs, consultants and all relevant multipliers

Practical Background

Long-time experience as sous- or executive chef (preferred experience in catering industry/ large scale production) Excellent local and international food and kitchen knowledge Experience as a Teacher in Culinary Schools preferred Additional course / study in business administration, nutritional science or hotel and restaurant management preferred Experience in dealing with partners/customers as Sales employee (preferred) Keen understanding of customer needs Outstanding presentation and training capabilities and ability to create and execute trainings Strong verbal and written communication skills in local Kannada or Tamil language due to market requirement (English a plus) Good IT-abilities (MS Office) Willingness to travel as the ratio of office work and travelling can be 20/80 Valid driver’s license
