JOB PURPOSE
Teaching & training Undergraduate (MBBS) & Post Graduate Medical students
including Interns to develop their knowledge and skills.
Optimizing patient satisfaction level through continual improvement.
CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Administrative & Academic duties:
To do periodic evaluation / assessment of Undergraduate (MBBS) / …

Postgraduate Medical students by conducting their internal (College)
examinations.
Wherever applicable also carries out administrative duties of heading a unit
and thus providing leadership to the staff working under his/her unit. Further,
Associate Professor also performs the administrative duties as assigned from
time to time like making of duty roster, procurement of medical equipment and
guiding the research activities etc.
Formulating the UG teaching schedule. (on rotation)
2. Clinical duties:
Assists the unit in-charge in patient care (Out Patient & In Patient)
First on call for emergency during his/her call days.
Supervises/performs procedures in NICU/PICU/OPD/wards
Carries out other assignments assigned by the Unit in-charge/Head of the
department in improving the care given to the patient/teaching of UGs & PGs.
Covers up the duties of other consultant when any other consultant is on leave.
Reports to the Unit in-charge / Head of the Department difficult
cases/emergency cases.
