Job Title: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Physics
Location: R.K. International School
Position Type: Full-time
Job Summary: The Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Physics is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality physics education to students in R.K. International School . This role entails creating engaging lesson plans, conducting assessments, and fostering a positive learning environment. The PGT Physics will also participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the overall academic development of students.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Curriculum Development and Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive physics curriculum in alignment with national or state educational standards.
Create detailed lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching methodologies, resources, and technology to enhance student learning.
2) Classroom Instruction: Deliver engaging and effective physics lessons to students of various age groups.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
Use innovative teaching methods to make complex physics concepts accessible to students.
3) Assessment and Evaluation: Design, administer, and evaluate student assessments to measure their progress and understanding of physics concepts.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to help them improve their performance.
4) Student Support: Identify and address individual learning needs of students through differentiated instruction and additional support as required.
Encourage and mentor students in their academic and personal growth.
5) Classroom Management: Establish and maintain classroom discipline and order while creating a respectful and safe learning environment. Set clear expectations for behavior and academic performance.
6) Professional Development: Stay updated with current trends and developments in the field of physics education. Participate in professional development activities and workshops to enhance teaching skills.
7) Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to coordinate academic and extracurricular activities.
8) Extracurricular Involvement: Actively participate in school clubs, committees, or other extracurricular activities to contribute to the holistic development of students.
9) Records and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Physics or a related field.
- B.Ed. or teaching certification is preferred.
- Previous teaching experience in a similar role is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of physics concepts and the ability to communicate them effectively to students.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and software for teaching purposes.
- Passion for education and a commitment to the academic growth of students.
