We are actively looking for Subject Matter Expert Lead in English for the K-10 school book publishing endeavour by Physics Wallah.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The SME Lead is expected to

• assist in building a comprehensive English literature and grammar curriculum for primary and middle grades
• understand student needs and create engaging and compelling content for effective and sustained learning;
• develop teacher resources including instructional material, lesson plans, presentations, teaching aids, and handbooks;
• work closely with pedagogues to design age-appropriate content and assessment questions;
• ensure quality control of the content by proofreading, and editing manuscripts.

Skills

Essential:

• In-depth knowledge of English literature and grammar
• Conceptual understanding of how students learn a language
• Hands-on practice of integration of experiential teaching methods in the content
• Experience in integration of tenets of National Education Policy in designing teaching-learning experiences
• Willingness to learn and create alternatives to traditional methods of creating and curating content
• Sound knowledge of Taxonomy of learning and its implementation in planning teaching-learning experiences and designing resources
• Well-honed communication skills (written and verbal).

Qualification

• MA in English
• At least 3 years of experience in creating/curating signature content
• Classroom teaching would be an added advantage.
