Job Description:
Pune Institute of Business Management (PIBM) is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time faculty member to join our team and contribute to the academic excellence in the field of Finance Management. The ideal candidate should possess a strong educational background and practical experience in finance, ideally holding a CA (Chartered Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) qualification. This role involves teaching and training students pursuing various finance management programs at PIBM.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching: Conducting classes, seminars, and workshops related to finance management topics including but not limited to financial accounting, corporate finance, investment management, risk management, and financial analysis.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborating with the curriculum development team to design, update, and enhance course materials to ensure alignment with industry trends, standards, and best practices.
- Student Mentorship: Providing academic guidance and mentorship to students, assisting them in understanding complex financial concepts, preparing for examinations, and supporting their career aspirations in finance.
- Research and Publications: Engaging in scholarly research activities, publishing papers in reputable academic journals, and participating in conferences to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in finance management.
- Industry Engagement: Establishing and maintaining relationships with industry professionals, organizations, and institutions to facilitate guest lectures, internships, and placement opportunities for students.
- Professional Development: Keeping abreast of the latest developments, trends, and innovations in the field of finance through continuous learning, professional networking, and participation in relevant training programs.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from a recognized institution. A Ph.D. in Finance or a relevant discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
- Professional certification such as CA (Chartered Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level, preferably in a business school environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in finance management concepts, theories, and practices, with a track record of academic and/or professional achievements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial concepts to students from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and industry partners.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and tools for instructional delivery, assessment, and communication.
