Job Description:

Teaching / Conducting lectures on all relevant subjects as defined under the Syllabus and course curriculum for B.Arch Graduate program. This includes classroom, studio & laboratory-based sessions.

Preparing subject content, materials, lesson plans, methods of instruction (innovative teaching methods), formulating assignments/projects for students, directing projects, evaluating assignments/projects, guiding students on design assignments, research and internships.

Participate in the development/design and revision of the curriculum offered.

Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.

Coordinating project case studies, study tours/ visits, Workshops/Conferences/Seminars/Special Courses, mentoring & guiding students in curricular, co-curricular activities, national & International design competitions, etc. will be some of the key components of the tasks to be performed as part of the position offered.

Maintaining a wide network with industries to secure consultancy work and execute the same effect under the Institute and performing activities/ tasks related to administration/ operations of the Institute will also be part of the Job profile.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Equivalent to B.Arch with minimum 60 percent marks and three years of relevant professional experience.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent to B.Arch and Master’s Degree in architecture or allied subjects with minimum 60 percent marks at either level and 1 year of relevant experience.

Other requirements:

Working experience with reputed Architectural Firms, Professional Experience in designing buildings, experience in preparing architectural working drawings, GFCs, Proficiency in application of design software, 3D modeling software, other relevant software applications, etc. will carry weightage. Graduates/ Post Graduates from reputed National level institutions will also carry weightage.

About the Institution:

PSG Institute of Architecture and Planning (PSG IAP), Coimbatore, founded by PSG & Sons Charities Trust. It is approved by the Council of Architecture (COA) India & affiliated with Anna University, Chennai). Currently, we offer B.Arch, a 5-year program.
