Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Principal of our Nursing Institute. The principal will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Institute, including program development, faculty and staff management, student recruitment and retention, and budget management.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the success of the Nursing Institute
  • Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality nursing education programs, including curriculum development and evaluation
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise faculty and staff members, providing ongoing coaching and support
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accreditation standards and regulations
  • Monitor and evaluate student performance, and oversee the implementation of interventions to support student success
  • Foster relationships with industry partners and community organizations to promote collaboration and ensure that the Institute meets the needs of the healthcare community
  • Manage the budget for the Nursing Institute, ensuring financial sustainability and the effective allocation of resources
  • Participate in departmental and university service activities, such as serving on committees and engaging with external stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with current developments in the field of nursing education, and incorporate new knowledge into the Institute’s programs and operations

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in nursing education, with a record of progressively responsible leadership positions
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective nursing education programs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders
  • Experience managing budgets and resources, with a track record of financial sustainability
  • Familiarity with accreditation standards and regulations in nursing education
  • A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the Institute’s operations
