Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Preschool Teacher role based at Kangaroo Kids Singasandra in Bengaluru. The Preschool Teacher will plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that align with the school’s curriculum and philosophy. Daily responsibilities include creating a safe, nurturing classroom environment, facilitating play-based and inquiry-based learning, and observing and documenting children’s progress. The teacher will communicate regularly with families about children’s learning and well-being, collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and events, and participate in training sessions and school meetings. The role also involves maintaining classroom routines, managing resources, and ensuring all health, safety, and school policies are followed. Qualifications
Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education, with experience or formal training in preschool or kindergarten teaching.
Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development for young learners, including play-based and inquiry-driven activities.
Effective Communication skills for engaging with children, families, and colleagues in a clear, respectful, and supportive manner.
Ability to create an emotionally safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports holistic child development.
Relevant diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, or a related field (or progress toward such qualifications).
Patience, empathy, and strong classroom management skills suitable for working with preschool-age children.
Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and adapt to research-based teaching practices.
Basic proficiency with documentation and record-keeping, including maintaining learning portfolios and progress reports.
