Full Job Description
Responsibilities: Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the education and training of students with physical, emotional, mental, and learning disabilities and to ensure the involvement of parents of students with additional requisites in the educational processes of their children. The special educator collaborates closely with teachers, other professionals and administrators to foster the teaching and learning of students with additional requisites.
Responsibilities include:
Taking group and individual sessions as per requirements from classroom observations
Developing strong one-to-one relations with students and parents
Helping students improve outcomes through ILP, remedials, assigning classwork and homework as necessary, etc.
Documenting student progress
Assessment for new admissions
Additional responsibilities include:
Admissions counselling
Supervising students out of class, such as in the hallways
Participating in parent outreach / marketing initiatives
Prerequisites
Good communication skills in Hindi and English.
Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role in a school setting is required.
Good knowledge of current special education topics and methodologies
Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities
Ability to create IEPs
A patient, resourceful, and resilient personality
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
BSc in Special Education; MSc is a plus
Salary (CTC) Rs.25,000 – 30,000
