A Physical Education (PE) teacher promotes physical fitness, health, and motor skills among students. Their primary duties include designing age-appropriate lesson plans, teaching fundamental movement and sports techniques, evaluating student performance, and managing sports equipment. They also ensure student safety and foster teamwork.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
1. Teaching and Curriculum ImplementationLesson Planning: Develop and execute structured, inclusive PE lesson plans aligned with educational board standards (e.g., CBSE, state boards).Skill Development: Instruct students on fundamental motor skills (e.g., running, catching) and sport-specific techniques (e.g., dribbling, serving).Fitness Education: Educate students on physical conditioning, the principles of strength and flexibility, and the foundations of nutrition.
2. Student Assessment and TrackingGrading and Evaluation: Conduct practical and written assessments to track student progress and grade their overall physical development.Health Records: Maintain accurate attendance and performance records, and assist with general student medical screenings.Nurturing Talent: Identify promising athletes and encourage their participation in regional, state, or national-level sports events.
3. Event Organization and CoachingExtracurriculars: Manage or coach after-school sports teams, clubs, and intramural programs.School Events: Plan and organize school-wide sports events, tournaments, field days, and annual sports meets.
Pay: ₹80,000.00 – ₹98,000.00 per month
