Pathways School Gurgaon is looking for an excellent Western Teacher of Music at PYP level, at the school campus in Baliawas. Candidates should have a minimum of Grade 8 with distinction in their chosen specialism. Teachers with Grade 8 Rock School need not apply. Piano skills would be advantageous, and the ability to accompany students singing or performing on an instrument. Experience of instructing Trinity College/ABRSM Grade Examinations from Grade 1 upwards would be a distinct plus point.

Candidates applying for this position should have a solid & robust knowledge in the Theory & History of Music and be able to communicate in both written and spoken English to a high level. Candidates with prior teaching experience in an IB school at PYP level would be preferred, and have a distinct advantage.

During the first round of interviews, candidates will be expected to take and instruct a class – teaching students the ”Pathways School Song”, which will be supplied the night before the interview. There will also be a 20-minute Viva Voce with the HOD of Performing Arts.
