The responsibilities as Assistant Teacher include, but are not limited to:

• The assistant teacher will, at all times, be alert to the physical, emotional, psychological safety and security of all children.
• The assistant Teacher will participate in all lesson, activity & event planning.
• She will collaborate with the Form Tutor in conducting all classes as planned and guided by the Form Tutor.
• She will be responsible for leading Hindi in all aspects – (language learning, story telling, events & presentations …………).
• She will assist specialist teachers in Art, Music & PE activities and facilitate their integration into Units of Inquiry
• During Numeracy & Literacy lessons, she may be required to work with a select number of students to shore up gaps in learning .
• During class sessions, she will observe students & take notes for feedback to Form Tutor about students’ process & progress.
• She will supervise Private Study sessions.
• She will be responsible for organizing, managing and keeping ready all resources required for a lesson.
• She will assist the Form Tutor in keeping class room displays up to date.
• She will assist the Form tutor in providing weekly feedback to parents through weekly news letters, Veracross and emails.
• She will assist the Form Tutor in maintaining all student records, on Veracross, Portfolios, soft or hard copies as indicated by school systems and practices
• She will assist the Form tutor in maintaining organized records of all work plans & outcomes.
