Roles and responsibilities:
- Assortment Planning-
- Define and create assortment and build ways to have a sharp track of
consumer preferences, market and competitors
- Buying Planning and Vendor Tie-ups
- Build local, regional and national tie-ups with manufacturers, suppliers and
brands of FMCG and General merchandise
- Terms of Trade (ToTs) negotiations and execution with regional and national
brands in the best interest of the company.
- To explore Inventory led as well as through marketplace assortment and
inventory management.
- To plan purchase and execution to ensure maximum level of availability.
- Pricing, Promotion and Other Income Planning
- P&L Ownership
- Own top line, as well as the bottom line for the categories, drive revenue and
margins
- Manage inventory levels & cash cycle/working capital efficiently
- Work to optimize on markdown, damages and expiry etc.
- Merchandising & Sell Side-
- Plan and execute the merchandising on the platform with topline and bottom-
line in track
- Drive launches and necessary category led promotions, managing the
monthly calendars
- Collaborate with product and internally in designing and executing various
products and programs to increase consumer wallet share, penetration and
retention
- Cross Functional Collaborations
- Collaborate and program managing supply chain, packaging and
warehousing efficiencies
- Working closely with network & growth team.
Education & Skills Required:
- A Graduate/Post Graduate preferably a Management Graduate.
- Strong in analytics, data-driven experimentation and problem solving
- Assertive with collaborative attitude
