Organo Et School Hiring for Curriculum Designer at Secunderabadan hour Full Time

We are looking for a curriculum designer, who has more than 15 years pedagogical experience in designing School curriculum for higher graded. The Candidate can be from teaching background in an IB/ ICSE school. Candidates working in organisations which help in designing sustainability initiatives for Corporates/ Schools will also be suitable for the job.

Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Development:

• a. Design and develop educational curricula, lesson plans, and teaching materials ( Like kits ) that integrate sustainability concepts across various subjects and grade levels.

• b. Collaborate with educators, subject matter experts, and instructional designers to align curriculum content with educational standards and learning objectives. The curriculum has to be focused on experiential learning with measurable behavioural outcomes.

2. Identify and develop Experts

a. Identify sustainability experts and train them, aligning them with overall OES objectives.

3. Research and Content Creation:

• a. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in sustainability, environmental science, and related fields to incorporate current and relevant information into curriculum materials.
• b.Create engaging and informative content, including text, graphics, videos, and interactive resources, to support the curriculum.

4. Pedagogical Strategies:

• a. Implement effective teaching and learning strategies that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and active engagement with sustainability concepts.
• b.Provide guidance and training to teachers and educators on effective instructional methods for teaching sustainability.

4. Assessment and Evaluation:

• a. Develop assessment tools and evaluation criteria to measure student understanding and progress in sustainability topics.
• b. Analyze assessment data to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to the curriculum.
• c. Drive implementation of curriculum and demonstrate behavioural changes post the conduct of workshops.

5. Collaboration:

• a. Collaborate with educators, school administrators, and other stakeholders to integrate sustainability education into existing curricula and school programs.
• b. Work with community organizations, NGOs, and environmental experts to facilitate hands-on learning experiences and real-world applications of sustainability concepts.

6. Professional Development:

• a. Stay updated on best practices in sustainability education by attending conferences, workshops, and networking with professionals in the field.
• b. Continuously improve and adapt curriculum materials based on feedback and emerging trends.

7. Communication and Advocacy:

• a. Communicate the importance of sustainability education to various stakeholders, including parents, students, school boards, and policymakers.
• b. Advocate for the inclusion of sustainability education in educational institutions and support initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in education, environmental science, sustainability studies, or a related field (a master’s degree may be preferred).
• Teaching background from an IB school in science or from a sustainability based start ups
• Strong knowledge of sustainability principles, environmental issues, and educational pedagogy.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in curriculum development software and educational technology.
