Educational qualification : The candidate needs to be Masters in Clinical / Counselling psychology from a recognised university. (Regular, full time courses) Roles and Responsibilities : · School psychologists will provide counselling, mentoring, and instructional services to help promote wellness by reinforcing life skills session. · Identify / attend students with special needs or students requiring counselling. · Performing psychological assessments (I.Q, Projective techniques, etc) · Students who are facing learning disabilities, school psychologists will also help increase achievement by assessing their abilities and devising the best instructional strategies for optimal learning. · Frequently collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and other professionals to strengthen connections between home and school for students. · Evaluating eligibility for special education services, teaching parenting skills, making referrals to help coordinate community support, designing student progress monitoring systems, and implementing school-wide prevention programs. · Help student prepare for academic achievement , ensure career readiness and develop personal and social competencies through a comprehensive, preventive and developmental counselling program
