Orchids International School is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Dance Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators. The Dance Teacher will inspire and guide our students in exploring the world of dance, developing their skills, and cultivating a love for this dynamic art form.

As a Dance Teacher, you will have the opportunity to create and deliver engaging dance lessons that cater to students of different ages and abilities. You will teach various styles of dance, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, and cultural dances, while focusing on technique, coordination, musicality, and performance skills. Together with our students, you will create memorable dance performances and collaborate with other faculty members on interdisciplinary projects and school events.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality dance lessons that cater to the needs and abilities of students of different ages.
• Teach students various styles of dance, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, and cultural dances.
• Focus on developing students’ technical dance skills, coordination, musicality, and performance abilities.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity, self-expression, and collaboration.
• Choreograph and direct dance performances for school events, showcases, and competitions.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to support their growth as dancers.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to incorporate dance into cross-curricular projects and events.
• Organize and supervise extracurricular dance clubs, workshops, and performances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field.
• Previous experience teaching dance to students in a school or studio setting.
• Strong knowledge of various styles of dance and dance techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Passion for dance education and a commitment to nurturing students’ creativity.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of various learning styles and abilities.
