Role Description :

This is a part-time, remote role for an Online Mentor for Web Development, working primarily in US and UK shifts. The mentor will conduct live, interactive online classes for school-aged learners, guiding them through web development concepts such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic front-end frameworks where applicable. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans based on Codeyoung’s curriculum, delivering sessions using student-centric methods, demonstrating code examples, and supporting learners through hands-on exercises. The mentor will monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, address questions and challenges in real time, and help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment. Additional tasks may include evaluating assignments, sharing progress updates with the internal team, and suggesting improvements to content or teaching methods.

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of web development fundamentals (e.g., HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) and the ability to explain concepts clearly to younger learners.
• Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or conducting workshops, preferably with children or teenagers in an online environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with a patient, encouraging, and student-focused approach.
• Comfort with online teaching tools and platforms (video conferencing, virtual whiteboards, coding environments).
• Reliable internet connection, suitable hardware for live video classes, and the ability to work US and UK time zones.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Education, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience in web development.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and skill levels.

2:30 AM -7:30 AM (US Shift)

8:30 PM – 1:30 AM (UK Shift)
