Job Description:
As our Manager – People & Culture, you will play a critical role in building and shaping our organizational culture. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to develop and implement people strategies that support our mission, vision, and values. You will be responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent and building a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence, creating the happiest work environment in the industry
Roles & Responsibilities
Organizational Design / Talent Acquisition –
- Collaborate with Recruitment team on implementing innovative and inclusive recruitment strategies
- Promote diversity, equity and inclusion awareness in hiring practices
- Ensure that the right talent is recruited (with respect to culture and value fitment)
- Review current organizational structure and identify the need for building workforce basis inputs from business.
- Assess Organisation structure needs – whether new teams or restructuring and facilitate smooth changes
- Ensure the company’s workforce has the right size, shape, cost, and agility for the future
Onboarding –
- Create clear policies as per laws and employee handbooks that explain company operations for respective business units
- Handhold the New Joiners for the first 30 days and help in their transition to their roles
- Address New Joiners queries regarding their contracts and payroll
Employee Relations –
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Arrive at recommendation and execute plan of action.
- Address employee grievances and conduct investigations in response to employee complaints
Performance Management and Productivity –
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to respective Teams (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Conduct 360-degree performance reviews
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Help Employees and Leaders deal with organizational, people, and change-related issues
- Consult with Employees and Leaders, providing HR guidance when appropriate
- Work with Employees and Leaders to handhold low performing individuals (through PIP)
Succession Planning –
- Partner with leadership to develop succession plans
- Provide guidance and input on Team restructures and workforce planning
Learning and Development –
- Identify training needs for Teams and individual executive coaching
- Evaluate and monitor training programs to ensure ROI, thus success.
- Follow up with teams to understand if training objectives are met
People Operations and Analytics –
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the team leaders to develop and implement solutions, programs, and policies
- Monitor internal HR systems, databases, and key metrics
- Address employees’ queries (e.g., on compensation, policies, and labor regulations)
- Administer payroll and employee benefits
- Employee exits
- Managing and conduct events such as seminars, workshops, Socials, Outings and Celebrations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-growth, start-up environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, practices, and legal requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective people strategies and initiatives.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop insights.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
