Role & responsibilities
1. *Curriculum Development & Review: *
– Design, review, and update the CBSE curriculum for primary years in alignment with CBSE guidelines and educational best practices.
– Ensure the curriculum is comprehensive, balanced, and caters to the intellectual, emotional, and social development of students.
– Integrate interdisciplinary themes, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills into the curriculum.
2. *Instructional Support:*
– Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and teaching aids that align with the curriculum objectives.
– Provide guidance to teachers on effective teaching methodologies, including differentiated instruction and assessment strategies.
– Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to enhance teaching practices.
3. *Teacher Training & Professional Development:*
– Organize and deliver professional development sessions for primary teachers on curriculum implementation, innovative teaching strategies, and classroom management.
– Mentor and support teachers in their professional growth, helping them to stay updated with the latest educational trends and CBSE requirements.
– Facilitate collaborative learning among teachers through workshops, peer observations, and sharing of best practices.
4. *Assessment & Evaluation:*
– Design and implement assessment tools that accurately measure student progress and achievement in line with CBSE standards.
– Analyze assessment data to identify areas of improvement in student learning and curriculum effectiveness.
– Provide guidance on formative and summative assessment practices that support student learning and development.
5. *Resource Development & Management:*
– Develop and curate a repository of teaching and learning resources, including digital content, that align with the CBSE curriculum.
– Evaluate and recommend educational tools, software, and other resources that enhance the teaching and learning experience.
– Collaborate with educational publishers and content creators to source high-quality instructional materials.
6. *Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration:*
– Liaise with school leadership, teachers, and parents to communicate curriculum objectives, expectations, and student progress.
– Collaborate with other SMEs and academic coordinators to ensure consistency and coherence across all grades and subjects.
– Participate in school meetings, workshops, and parent-teacher conferences as needed.
7. *Innovation & Research:*
– Stay informed about the latest developments in education, particularly in primary education and CBSE guidelines.
– Pilot new teaching methodologies, technologies, and programs that can be integrated into the curriculum.
– Conduct action research and case studies to inform curriculum decisions and improve educational outcomes.
8. *Compliance & Accreditation:*
– Ensure that the curriculum and instructional practices comply with CBSE regulations and accreditation standards.
– Prepare documentation and reports required for CBSE audits and inspections.
– Assist in the accreditation process by providing necessary data and supporting evidence of curriculum quality.
