Mumbai Mobile Creches Hiring for Training Officer (Early Childhood Care Education) Job at Mumbai Full Time

Mumbai Mobile Creches is a non-profit organisation that has supported the health, safety and education of children living on construction sites for the last four decades. It runs comprehensive day care centres on construction sites, serving children who are among the most vulnerable of the urban poor. It has been a pioneer in developing early childhood education programmes and curriculum. In Mumbai, it serves over 3500 children through approximately 25 centres every year.

Mumbai Mobile Creches is seeking an experienced person for the position of Training officer, for effectively carrying out the functions of various Early Childhood Care Education Training Programs of MMC and meet the programme and donor’s requirements. The Training officer will be responsible for the following.

Job Description

· Plan and supervise execution of the various ECCE Training Programmes conducted by MMC including a year long Bal Palika Training programme, and other short term capacity building training courses for external organizations and ICDS.

· Develop standards to monitor training delivery by the trainers and maintain high standards of quality in the execution of the training programme.

· Track the performance of Trainers on monthly basis and provide them mentoring support to identify the gaps and ensure that Trainers focus on gaps identified.

· Facilitate and closely monitor development of the work plans – theory, practical, and outreach by the trainers.

· Facilitate trainers to identify readily available content/online media to support training sessions.

· Identify and recommend training materials need to be purchased to Administration Manager and facilitate development of in-house teaching aids and materials for the programme.

· Identify and connect with the government departments for up to date information of the health, nutrition and education standards for incorporation in the training programme

· Liaison with external organizations working with children and ICDS to expand the reach of training programmes.

· Liaison with external organizations for placement of the trainees graduating from our programme.

· Facilitate accurate and timely recording of data, document project activities, prepare monthly progress reports, and provide input for the quarterly reports, funder reports, annual report and any other reports needed from time to time.

Qualification

· A Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education / Human Development

· With 4 to 5 years’ experience in Early Childhood Care and Education is essential.

· Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures

· Fluency in English, Hindi and Marathi are required.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS word is essential.

The Mumbai Mobile Creches’ administrative office is in South Mumbai. Working hours are 9.30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month is a holiday.
