Education Officer Mumbai Mobile Creches Mumbai Mobile Creches is a non-profit organisation that has supported the health, safety and education of children living on construction sites for the last four decades. It runs comprehensive day care centres on construction sites, serving children who are among the most vulnerable of the urban poor. It has been a pioneer in developing early childhood education programmes and curriculum.

In Mumbai, it serves over 3500 children through approximately 25 centres every year. Mumbai Mobile Creches is seeking an experienced person for the position of Education officer, for effectively carrying out the functions of teaching programme and meet the programme and donors requirements. The Education officer will be responsible for the following.

Job Description To effectively implement, monitor and evaluate MMC education and library programme. To undertake regular visits to all the MMC centres to ensure the smooth implementation of programme and monitor childrens progress.

To develop, improve and monitor monthly timetable for the 0-3 year olds, 3-6 years olds and 6-14 years old children. To implement various new tools and activities to enhance quality of education & library programme. To regularly report and document programme details to the senior management of MMC and other stake holders.

To submit the monthly report by the 10th of every month on the activities & visits conducted. To undertake monthly training for all programme staff, including teachers and programme officers. To supervise and monitor library staff members.

To identify and prioritize materials and equipment needed for the education programme in coordination with the Head Programme and CE. To distribute and maintain inventory of all education material. Qualification A Masters degree in

Early Childhood Education / Human Development With 2 to 3 years experience in Early Childhood Care and Education is essential.

Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures Fluency in English, Hindi and Marathi are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS word is essential. The Mumbai Mobile Creches administrative office is in South Mumbai.

Working hours are 8:45 a.m. 4:30 p.m. Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month is a holiday. Salary is commensurate with experience.
