Job Description
MIET(Autonomous) is seeking highly qualified individuals to join our esteemed institution as Professor and Associate Professor within the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, adhering to the eligibility criteria stipulated by AICTE/UGC. These positions offer an opportunity to contribute significantly to academia through research, teaching, and mentorship, while fostering a dynamic learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Curriculum Development:
- Develop and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in Computer Science & Engineering subjects.
- Design and revise course curricula to align with industry trends and academic standards.
- Mentor and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in their academic pursuits.
Research and Scholarly Activity:
- Conduct cutting-edge research in Computer Science & Engineering, leading to publications in reputed journals and conferences.
- Secure external research funding and collaborate with industry partners to address contemporary challenges.
- Supervise research projects and guide students in their research endeavors.
Academic Leadership and Administration:
- Provide leadership in the development and enhancement of academic programs within the department.
- Participate in academic committees and contribute to institutional governance.
- Mentor junior faculty members and support their professional growth.
Community Engagement and Outreach:
- Engage in outreach activities to promote Computer Science & Engineering education and research to the broader community.
- Foster collaborations with other academic institutions, industry partners, and professional bodies.
- Contribute to the advancement of the field through participation in conferences, workshops, and seminars.
Qualifications and Experience:
For Professor:
- A Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 10 years of teaching and research experience in higher education including 03 years of experience as Associate Professor.
- Demonstrated leadership in academic and research activities, including a minimum of 10 research publications in SCI/ UGC/ AICTE approved journals.
- Experience in guiding and mentoring students and junior faculty members.
- Proven ability to secure research grants and foster interdisciplinary collaborations.
For Associate Professor:
- A Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 08 years of teaching and research experience in higher education including 02 years of experience post PhD.
- Evidence of scholarly achievements, including a minimum of 06 research publications in SCI/ UGC/ AICTE approved journals.
- Experience in curriculum development and course delivery at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to academic excellence and student success.
