What S/He will do
Student Guidance:
- Conduct individual and group counselling sessions with students to understand their academic aspirations, career goals, and preferences.
- Provide personalized advice on suitable courses, universities, and countries based on the student’s profile and interests.
Application Assistance:
- Assist students in preparing and submitting accurate and complete applications to overseas universities and colleges.
- Guide students through the application requirements, including essays, recommendation letters, and standardized test scores.
Information Dissemination:
- Stay updated on educational trends, admission criteria, scholarship opportunities, and visa requirements for various countries.
- Share relevant information with students, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their options.
Profile Evaluation:
- Evaluate students’ academic records, test scores, and extracurricular activities to assess their eligibility for different programs.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to enhance their application.
Financial Planning:
- Advise students and their families on estimated tuition costs, living expenses, and available scholarships or financial aid options.
- Help students create a budget and financial plan for their overseas education.
Visa Support:
- Assist students in preparing the necessary documentation for visa applications.
- Explain visa requirements, and interview processes, and support students in acquiring the required documents.
Pre-Departure Orientation:
- Conduct pre-departure sessions to educate students about the cultural, academic, and practical aspects of living and studying abroad.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with universities, colleges, and educational institutions to stay informed about their offerings.
- Collaborate with university representatives to streamline the application and admission process.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, counselling sessions, and application progress.
Who you are.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree
- Strong knowledge of international education systems, admission processes, and study destinations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and university representatives.
- Problem-solving ability to address students’ concerns and provide appropriate solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficiency in using educational and career counselling tools and software.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness to work with diverse student populations.
Experience:
- Previous experience in education counselling or related roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with different study destinations and university systems is advantageous.
