We are looking for a Copy Editor to join our team

As part of our product development, our contents team produces short texts in English that appear in Matific’s activities and word problems.

These texts are written reasonably well

However, the authors were not born and raised in the United States, neither did they study in US schools.

We seek a copy editor whose job is to review the texts that we produce and provide final copy editing

The editor is required to make only grammatical and notational changes, where needed, and is not required to make any changes to the contents proper.

Requirements Qualified and experienced copy editor An excellent command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style conventions An eagle eye for detail and a superlative ability to find mistakes, ranging from extra spaces to inconsistencies in content Independent, responsive, and proactive Ready to put in the effort to understand our goals, methods, philosophies, and storylines Experience editing educational content for grade school students Background in mathematics and / or experience editing mathematics content Native English speaker (US preferred) Spoken and / or written Hebrew, advantage
