Junior Research Fellow
Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to develop
different algorithms in deterministic and probabilistic approaches to solve the forward and
inverse problem of Magnetocardiography or Biomedical signals. This is an opportunity to
work in DST- SERB – CRG funded project titled “Non-invasive 3D vector modeling of
depolarization sequences using Magnetocardiography in Cardiomyopathy study”. Project
involves mathematical/hardware modelling of heart activities and localization of the heart
sources from the measured MCG signals using Bayesian inverse problems. This
interdisciplinary research will be conducted at Department of Biomedical Engineering,
Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal in
collaboration with Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu,
India.
Qualification:
Essential: Master’s Degree (M.Tech/M.Sc) in Biomedical Engineering/
Electronics and Communication engineering/ Electrical/ Computer
Science, Physics, Electronics, Biophysics, Lifesciences, Biostatistics, with
or without GATE/NET/CSIR-UGC, etc.
Desirable – Preference will be given to candidates with above
qualification and having work experience in signal/image processing,
statistics.
Requirements: Talented and passionate candidates with an ability to work in a
multidisciplinary team. Strong programming skills with hands on
experience in developing health care applications.
Remuneration: Rs 31,000 per month
