Mahindra University Hiring for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in SERB-DST Sponsored Project Job at Hyderābād

Applications are invited from the Indian citizens for filling up the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the SERB-DST (New Delhi) sponsored project for the maximum duration of 3 years. The position is purely temporary, with an initial appointment for one year, which is extendable up to three years (may be SRF in third year), solely based on performance. Further, the candidate will be encouraged for applying to regular Ph.D. program of the institute. The details of the project are mentioned below:

Essential Qualifications
  • Candidates must be holders of M.Sc. Mathematics/Applied Mathematics or M. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering and related areas from a recognized Institute/University or statutory body OR equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate score; For SC/ST category, the candidate must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate score.
  • Candidates are preferred with NET/GATE.

Desirable:

  • Expertise in MATLAB or any other relevant tools
  • Scientific writing skill.
  • Candidates with prior knowledge in Fluid Mechanics are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates meeting minimum eligibility criteria are not necessary to be called for interview. Criteria can be set to higher than minimum based on the number of applications.

Not more than 28 years.

Salary/Emoluments
As per the SERB, DST norms (Rs 31000/month).

Relaxation on qualification and age
SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN/PWD candidates will get relaxation as per Govt. of India Rules.

Date of Interview
The short listed candidates will be informed by e-mail about the interview date. No T A/ DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Conditions
  • The decision of the selection committee will be final.
  • If the number of shortlisted candidates called for the interview is large, the selection committee may decide to restrict the number of candidates for the interview to a reasonable limit after considering qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
  • The appointment of the candidate will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Institute/ funding agency particularly applicable to the said project as and when required.
  • The selected candidate will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
  • The fellowship may be terminated with a 30-day notice before completion of the tenure, if performance till date is not deemed satisfactory.
