Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development and Planning: Develop and update the SST curriculum based on educational standards and requirements.
Design engaging lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with the curriculum.
Incorporate diverse teaching strategies and resources to cater to students’ different learning styles and abilities.
Classroom Instruction: Deliver well-structured and interactive lessons that stimulate students’ interest and curiosity in social sciences.
Facilitate discussions, debates, and collaborative activities to encourage critical thinking and analysis.
Use technology effectively to enhance learning experiences, such as multimedia presentations or online resources.
Student Assessment and Evaluation: Administer and evaluate student assessments, including tests, quizzes, projects, and assignments.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their academic progress and areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
Individualized Support and Guidance: Identify and address the unique learning needs and interests of individual students.
Provide academic support and guidance, including advising students on subject choices and career pathways.
Offer additional assistance or tutoring to students who require extra help.
Classroom Management: Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages mutual respect and active student participation.
Set clear expectations and behavioral standards, and enforce discipline when necessary.
Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment that respects diversity and encourages open dialogue.
Collaboration and Professional Development: Collaborate with other SST teachers and faculty members to share best practices and resources.
Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and school improvement initiatives.
Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay updated with current trends and methodologies in social sciences education.
Parent Communication and Engagement: Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians regarding students’ progress and academic performance.
Conduct parent-teacher conferences and respond to parental inquiries or concerns in a timely manner.
Provide support and guidance to parents on how they can support their child’s learning in social sciences.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: ₹30,000.00 – ₹40,000.00 per month
