Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development and Planning: Develop and update the accountancy curriculum based on educational standards and requirements.
Design lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with the curriculum.
Incorporate real-world examples, case studies, and practical applications of accounting principles.
Classroom Instruction: Deliver well-structured and interactive lessons that stimulate students’ interest in accountancy.
Teach accounting concepts, principles, and practices, including financial accounting, management accounting, and auditing.
Use various teaching methods, such as lectures, discussions, and problem-solving activities, to enhance students’ understanding.
Financial Analysis and Reporting: Teach students how to analyze financial statements, interpret financial data, and assess the financial health of businesses.
Provide instruction on financial reporting standards, including the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Guide students in using financial ratios and other analytical tools to evaluate the performance and efficiency of businesses.
Student Assessment and Evaluation: Administer and evaluate student assessments, including tests, quizzes, projects, and assignments.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their academic progress and areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
Individualized Support and Guidance: Identify and address the unique learning needs and interests of individual students.
Provide additional support or tutoring to students who require extra help in understanding accounting concepts.
Offer guidance and counseling on career pathways in the field of accountancy and finance.
Classroom Management: Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and active student participation.
Set clear expectations and behavioral standards, and enforce discipline when necessary.
Foster a collaborative learning environment that encourages teamwork, critical thinking, and effective communication.
Professional Development and Collaboration: Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with current trends, practices, and advancements in accountancy.
Collaborate with other accountancy teachers and faculty members to share best practices and resources.
Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and school improvement initiatives.
Parent Communication and Engagement: Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians regarding students’ progress and academic performance.
Conduct parent-teacher conferences and respond to parental inquiries or concerns in a timely manner.
Provide support and guidance to parents on how they can support their child’s learning in accountancy.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or relevant teaching qualifications.
- Experience teaching accountancy or finance subjects to senior college students.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.
- Familiarity with accounting software and financial modeling tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an engaging and interactive learning environment.
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: ₹30,000.00 – ₹40,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Barshi, Solapur, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
