Job Overview –
This role is required to support cross functional teams and provide analytical insight for decision making.
Roles and Responsibilities –
Procurement Intelligence:
- Monitor market and price dynamics for key downstream commodities and analyze their impact of various molecules
- Identify cost saving opportunities across categories
- Identify new vendors and map their technical capabilities based on Lupin requirement
- Support R&D in identifying vendors for hard to find molecules
- Monitor key trends in pharma procurement and highlight upcoming challenges/opportunities to management
- Conduct regular benchmarking assessment for all key APIs, KSMs, Excipients
- Support procurement team in proving required data for negotiations – cost sheets, price benchmarks etc.
Business Intelligence
- Analyze generic pharma mega trends and support business development team in their strategy creation
- Provide key inputs and drive discussions with R&D team focusing on prospective competition for upcoming molecules in pipeline and their target sources
Digital Initiatives & Process Improvement
- Identify & Actively participate in Digital led operational improvement projects; ensure timelines and delivery is in line with initial expectations
- Build interactive dashboards for leadership team highlighting focus areas in next 1-3 years
Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in working in Pharma Industry / Procurement
- Good understanding of API, KSM and Excipient market
- Strong understanding of US generics pharma market; good understanding of various regulatory and business scenarios of US generics
- Strong analytical acumen; exposure to analytical tools is preferred
- Additional knowledge on other pharma markets (non-US) is added advantage

Qualifications
Education: • BE/B.Tech and MBA (Preferred)
