Position Summary
LINC is working with a leading Australia-based university partner to help them set up their campus in GIFT City, Gujarat. LINC is recruiting experienced business educators (LINC Fellows) as sessional staff (part-time) at the campus. The educators will work as independent contractors of LINC and serve the student body enrolled at the graduate-level programs in Computing (Graduate Certificate / Master in Computing / Data Analytics). The candidates must have prior teaching experience with the following subject(s) – Programming and Data Structures, Data Management Systems, System Analysis and Project Management, Web Development.
LINC Fellows will support the full-time faculty at the campus and provide academic support to the students in the form of 1:1 consultations and group sessions. The LINC Fellows will be contracted during each unit or subject which is expected to range between 7 to 14 weeks in duration. The LINC Fellow must be available to start on 25 June 2024.
Important: Only candidates based in GIFT City / Gandhinagar / Ahmedabad region and willing to travel to the campus will be considered for this position

The contract-based role offers a competitive remuneration typically between INR 60,000-100,000 per unit (based on unit duration, scope of work, committed weekly time, batch size and experience level of the LINC Fellow) when actively engaged, plus up to 40% performance-based incentives.

Roles & Responsibilities
LINC Fellows will be responsible for providing:
- Academic guidance to postgraduate students;
- Orientation and support in study planning;
- Support in report writing and research skills;
- 1:1 and small group tutoring sessions;
- Guidance on relevant reference material;
- Assessment marking;
- Feedback on work and assessments;
- Timely responses to student queries;
- Management of discussion forums; and
- Other activities which will improve the student learning experience.
Desired candidate profile
- PG/Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Information Technology, Operations Research, Quantitative Methods, or related fields with distinction or first-class from a top university in India;
- At least 5 years of corporate experience and/or teaching experience in any of the following fields at a leading university or college (note: at least 3 years formal teaching experience at a university or college is a MUST);
- Those who can teach courses in Programming, Data Structures, Data Management Systems, Systems Analysis, Project Management, Data Science, Analytics, etc.
- Comfort with technologies such as Apache Airflow, Apache HBase, Apache Hive, Excel, Hadoop, Keras, MongoDB, MySQL, PowerBI, PySpark, Python, SAS, Tableau and TensorFlow will be an added advantage;
- Empathetic, ambitious, warm and outgoing personality willing to work closely with people from diverse culture;
- Proficient in English language;
- Ability to quickly learn and use technology platforms for interacting with students including host university’s LMS and LINCtrac (training on these platforms will be provided).
