Job Title: Instructional Designer cum Faculty
Job Overview: The firm seeks to provide quality online distance programs for candidates who wish to continue their higher education through distance mode. It is the responsibility of the Instructional Designer cum Faculty to plan, structure and develop the course material for subjects under the guidance of the Course Coordinator. This includes developing lesson plans for the online lectures, designing the accompanying presentations, supplementary resources, and assignments. The faculty has to deliver the course as pre-recorded video lectures and render the syllabus in a piece-meal manner to the students. It is their responsibility to present the matter in an engaging manner, in a mix of Malayalam and English, in tune with the needs of the target audience. It is the role of the ID cum Faculty to develop efficient methods of teaching and delivery for presenting the course content, thereby ensuring faculty-student engagement.
Responsibilities: * * Structuring the course under the supervision of the Course Coordinator, and developing lesson plans in accordance with the syllabus prescribed by the University (IGNOU).
- Conceptualizing the flow of lectures, visualizing the instructional design and designing presentations for the lectures.
- Putting together adequate multimedia content to enhance engagement, as well as activities that promote learning of concepts.
- Organizing reading material and supplementary resources to accompany each lecture in the form of value added notes.
- Deliver finished components (PowerPoint presentation, objective tests, value added notes etc for each lesson) for verification with the Head of Instructional Design and Course Coordinator.
- Delivering lectures within the prescribed timeframe; each lecture may be around 30 mins long).
- Creating regular assessments to help candidates track their learning.
- Keeping tabs on the assignments prescribed by the University and disseminating these as and when associated portions of the syllabus is covered.
- Organizing and maintaining the program documentation and course folders.
- Setting instructional end goals and applying teaching-learning methods to meet them.
- Identifying learner needs in conversation with Academic Mentors and others in the academic team, and incorporating necessary practices.
- Analyzing trends and best practices in instructional design and learning technologies and adopting useful methods to the program.
- Reporting issues, feedback and insights to the Course Coordinator.

Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Commerce or MBA.
- 2 or more years’ experience in teaching is preferred.
- Training, Skills, Knowledge, and/or Experience.
- Proficiency in English and Malayalam languages, both of which may be employed in teaching, according to the requirement of student batches
- Ability to present lectures in an engaging manner in front of the camera, and to connect with an imagined audience.
- Excellent technical skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, current eLearning development tools and system integrations for learning delivery.
- Experience with eLearning delivery and curation systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Team-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to balance multiple projects and execute tasks within strictly stipulated timelines.
