Founder Profile
Arnav Kumar is a graduate of IIT Kharagpur. Leap is his second company and he has raised more than $30M in capital for his startups. In his last role, he was a VC investor with SAIF Partners (Now Elevation Capital), which is an early investor in paytm, meesho, urban company, unacademy and many other unicorns. Vaibhav Singh is a graduate of IIT Kharagpur. He spent his first 6 years at DeutscheBank, across Singapore & Sydney to manage a $3Bn flow book. He has built 2 fintech startups before, as a founding member of CapitalFloat and Incred, both pioneering businesses valued >$500Mn The Leap team has a fine balance of industry experience (edtech, fintech, study abroad) and technical skills (engineering, product, design)

Leap Advantage offers Indian undergraduate students the opportunity to begin their foreign education at affordable prices, transferring to the foreign university of their choice and getting the coveted degree.
We are looking to onboard a US Counsellor for graduates who will be our interface with all possible aspirants. They will guide them through our program structure, and admissions counselling, resolve their doubts and onboard them onto our multiple programs
Roles and responsibilities:
Staying current with US university admission processes and requirements, university programs, majors, and courses, and developments in education and financial aid.
Helping students choose courses and extracurricular activities that will help them get into their chosen careers, guide them for profile building and interview preparation.
Review and propose information on various courses, colleges/US universities, test prep products, application process and deadlines proactively.
Candidates will be calling and counselling the students/parents and follow up for the students/parents for admission.
Understand the business and counsel the students and their families in the best possible manner.
Identifying skills, interests, and career goals of the prospective students.
Ability to work on a registration deadline, strive towards college-wide enrolment goals and use outstanding customer service to recruit students for the programs and get referrals.
Counselling the students for overseas education, follow-up with the students, solving their queries, and handling the registrations.
Coordinating with students and universities abroad.
Attend university training and workshops.
Under the direction of the leaders, participate in the events prior, during, and after each term, such as information sessions, orientations, and registration events.
Organizing events and representing the company at college fairs, and high schools, and taking care of other promotional opportunities.
Ability to work independently, and to arrange information sessions, set appointments and promote the organization in a positive manner.
Highlighting the benefits of specific universities, programs, and courses to attract students.
Arranging engaging alumni and information sessions.
Approaching different foreign universities for student recruitment tie up on commission/ scholarship offered basis
Work towards sales closure
Skills and experience:
Bachelors’ degree at a minimum with 3-5 years of experience in US counselling for graduate programs
Having excellent knowledge of the admissions process for US universities for graduate programs.
Must have 3+ years of experience in counselling for the US graduate programs
Must be detail-oriented and flexible so as to wear multiple hats that can solve for the problems/needs of our students
Experience in guiding students on the best course option based on their profile and interests
Experience in US universities’ application and admission process.
Familiarity with college and university programs, majors, admissions requirements and processes, and scholarship and financial aid resources.
Skills upon working on CRM tools
MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
Primary KRA
Complete weekly activity report to include documentation of recruitment/outreach activities and student appointments.
Network with new contacts to help increase inquiry production and university database
Utilize the phone, email, and mail to communicate with prospective students in a timely manner, providing superior student service.
Work with prospective students to garner completed application files prior to enrolment and efforts to increase retention.
Candidates should be comfortable with traveling.
